Sago Palm
Sago Palm
Commonly known as the King Sago, or if you want to call it by its latin name, the Cycas Revoluta is a slow-growing plant native to Southern Japan, including the Ryukyu Islands. With its central pineapple-looking trunk, and radiating thick, pointy, deep green leaves, this plant is sure to make you feel like you are living in the tropics! Or in a pineapple under the sea!
Being that it's from a tropical environment, it thrives in high humidity, warm temperatures, indirect bright light and will grow up to 2 ft. tall indoors. This makes them great as desktop plants in a very bright area of your home! It may take a while for a new frond to grow, but don't worry, these guys are very slow-growing, sometimes only releasing one frond a year!
